How to use iLOQ keys (Central Europe)

Insert the key into the lock cylinder all the way and turn. If the lock does not open, remove the key from the lock and repeat the procedure more slowly at a steady speed.

Also, check that you are inserting the key correctly into the lock cylinder. The key only goes into the lock one way; you can check the correct position of the key by comparing the shapes of the key and the keyhole.

The lock cylinder generates the electrical energy needed by both the lock and the key electronics from the key’s pushing motion. If the pushing motion is too fast, the lock remains in the locked state.

The contact wire in the metal part of the key must be kept clean. If the wire is dirty, clean it with a soft towel. If the contact wire is damaged or the contact surface is broken, the key must be replaced with a new one.

If the lock does not seem to work even when using a calm pushing motion, the lock may need maintenance.
