There are three key programming scenarios:

• You can program one or more keys immediately at hand, by using an online iLOQ Manager and the Programming Token. You can carry out this procedure for a new or an existing key.

  If this is the case, see Programming Keys.

• You can remotely program keys through a Key Programming Hot Spot. You can carry out this procedure for an existing key only.

  If this is the case, see Ordering Keys.

This section describes how to program keys on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

2. Select the key(s) to be programmed.

   The selected key must be in the Ordered or Transferred to programming state. If the lock is in the In planning state, order the lock first. See Ordering Keys.

3. Right-click the selected keys and select Program key.
   The Programming of keys wizard is opened.
4. Select Program keys.
5. A list of keys to be programmed is shown.
6. Select Next.
7. Select Program key.
8. Select Next.
9. A summary screen is shown.
10. Select Ready.
11. A status screen is shown, displaying the key that is next in the programming queue.

    

12. Place the requested key against the Programming Adapter or Programming Token.
13. A status screen is shown, displaying the key that is next in the programming queue.

    

14. Follow this procedure to program the selected keys.
15. A summary screen is shown.
16. Select Close.
17. The programmed keys appear in the key grid view in the Programmed state.

This chapter explains how to attach, detach and hand over keys on iLOQ Manager.

Handing over of keys consists of two phases:

• Attaching keys. When a key is attached to a person, it is planned to be handed over to the person. In the key grid view, the key has no date in the Date of hand over column. At this phase, you can change the person attachment, or detach the key without returning the key.

• Handing over keys. When a key is handed over to a person, it is physically handed over to the person. In the key grid view, the key has a date in the Date of hand over column. At this phase, you cannot change the person attachment, or detach the key without returning the key.

However, you can change the person attachment without returning the key, if the Handed over key can be attached to another person without returning the key setting is enabled. See section Editing Locking System Information.

This section describes how to attach a Key / Key Fob to person, or change the person attachment of a key on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

    
2. Select the Key / Key Fob that you want to attach to a person.
3. Right-click to select Attach key to person.
   The Attaching keys to persons wizard is opened.
4. Select Attach keys to person.
5. Select the Key / Key Fob to be attached to the person.
6. Select Next.
7. Select the person to whom the Key / Key Fob will be attached.
   Tip:

   If the desired person does not exist on the person list, you can add a new person by right-clicking to select Add new person.

8. Select Next.
9. Select Ready.
10. Select Close.

This section describes how to hand over a Key / Key Fob to a person on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

    
2. Select Hand over key.
   The Handing over of keys wizard is opened.
3. Select Hand over key.
4. Select the Key / Key Fob that you want to hand over to a person.
5. Select Next.
6. A summary screen is shown.
7. Select optionally whether you want to print out a Key / Key Fob hand over document.
8. Select Ready.
9. Select Close.

This section describes how to detach keys from persons on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

    
2. Select the key that want to detach from a person.
3. Right-click to select Attach key to person.
   The Attaching keys to persons wizard is opened.
4. Select Detach keys from person.
5. A summary screen is shown.
6. Select Ready.
7. Select Close.

This section describes how to re-associate attached keys from one person to another, on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

    
2. Select the key that want to re-associate to another person.
3. Right-click to select Attach key to person.
   The Attaching keys to persons wizard is opened.
4. Select Attach keys to person.
5. Select Next.
6. Select the new person.
7. Select Next.
8. A summary screen is shown.
9. Select Ready.
10. Select Close.

This section describes how to return a key from a person and empty it on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

    
2. Place the key to be returned against the Programming Adapter, to its designated place.

   The key placed to the Programmer Adapter will be highlighted by a green background color in the iLOQ Manager key grid view.

3. Right-click the key and select Return and empty key.
   The Return of keys wizard is opened.
4. Select Return keys.
5. Select Next.
6. Select how to handle the returned key information.

   Select one, both, or none of the options below:

   • Retain returned keys in the system — Select this check box if you want to keep the key definition in the system. However, the key will be emptied.

     The key will remain in the In planningstate.

     Tip:

     This is convenient, for example, if the tenant of an apartment changes. You can program the returned key information to a new key that you can hand over to the new tenant.

   • Retain key connections to persons — Select this check box if you want to retain the key attachments to persons.

7. Select Next.
8. A summary screen is shown.
9. Select whether to print out a key return document.

   The options are:

   • Do not print — Select this radio button to skip the printing option.
   • Print return document to each key — Select this radio button to print out a return document to each returned key.
   • Print return document for keys by person — Select this radio button to print out a return document for keys by person.
10. Select Close.
11. If you selected an option to print out a return document, the return document is opened in a new tab.

This section describes how to return a Key Fob from a person and empty it on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

    
2. Place the Key Fob against the Programming Token.

   The correct Key Fob is automatically selected on iLOQ Manager.

3. Right-click the key and select Return and empty key.
   The Return of keys wizard is opened.
4. Select Return keys.
5. Select Next.
6. Select how to handle the returned key information.

   Select one, both, or none of the options below:

   • Retain returned keys in the system — Select this check box if you want to keep the key definition in the system. However, the key will be emptied.

     The key will remain in the In planning state.

   • Retain key connections to persons — Select this check box if you want to retain the key attachments to persons.

7. Select Next.
8. A summary screen is shown.
9. Select Ready.
10. Place the Key Fob against the Programming Token.
11. A summary screen is shown.
12. Select whether to print out a key return document.

    The options are:

    • Do not print — Select this radio button to skip the printing option.
    • Print return document to each key — Select this radio button to print out a return document to each returned key.
    • Print return document for keys by person — Select this radio button to print out a return document for keys by person.
13. Select Close.
14. If you selected an option to print out a return document, the return document is opened in a new tab.

This section describes how to return and empty a Phone Key on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

    
2. Select the Phone Key to be removed from the Browse keys list.
3. Right-click the key and select Return and empty key.
   The Return of keys wizard is opened.
4. Select Return keys.
5. Select Next.
6. Select how to handle the returned key information.

   Select one, both, or none of the options below:

   • Retain returned keys in the system — Select this check box if you want to keep the key definition in the system. However, the key will be emptied.

     The key will remain in the In planning state.

   • Retain key connections to persons — Select this check box if you want to retain the key attachments to persons.

7. Select Next.
8. A summary screen is shown.
9. Select Ready.
10. A summary screen is shown.
11. Select whether to print out a key return document.

    The options are:

    • Do not print — Select this radio button to skip the printing option.
    • Print return document to each key — Select this radio button to print out a return document to each returned key.
    • Print return document for keys by person — Select this radio button to print out a return document for keys by person.
12. Select Close.

    The Phone Key programming state remains Sent until the phone confirms that the key has been removed. Monitor the Phone Key state by selecting Refresh, until the key disappears or enters the In planning programming state.

13. If you selected an option to print out a return document, the return document is opened in a new tab.
