iLOQ App

The NFC finder is displayed when using the phone key to unlock a door. It shows exactly where the NFC area of your phone is, making sure the phone is held in the right position against the lock’s reader knob.

However, as several factors can influence NFC performance, you can occasionally encounter problems related to it. If you have trouble using NFC, check the list below for solutions:

  • If you have an Android phone, you need to have the NFC function enabled. You can check this in the settings of your phone. On iPhones NFC is always on as default, and iPhone 7 and newer models can be used unlock iLOQ locks via NFC.
  • Protective covers/cases and other phone accessories can affect NFC performance negatively. If you have trouble unlocking doors, remove all accessories and try again.
  • Check the location of the NFC area of your phone. The NFC antenna may be in different places depending on the phone model. To check the location of the NFC antenna, refer to your phone’s operating instructions or contact the manufacturer.
