Remote key

The Remote key feature allows you to unlock entrances from your phone with the press of a button. This feature works with doors equipped with an online reader and provides a convenient way to unlock entrances for yourself or grant access to others without having to be at the door in person.

Using the remote key

  1. On the home screen of the app, tap Remote key to view a list of doors that can be unlocked remotely.
  2. Tap the unlock button ( iOS / Android) next to the door you want to unlock.
  3. A countdown timer in the app shows how long the door will remain unlocked.

NOTE: If your phone is offline, the remote key feature is not available. An active internet connection is required to use it.

Remote key status icons

The app uses different icons to show the availability of each door. These icons help you quickly understand which doors you can unlock and when. The access hours for each door are shown under the door’s name.

iOS / Available: The door is currently available for remote unlocking.

Unavailable (Access hours restriction): You have permission to access this door, but it cannot be unlocked right now because it is outside the allowed access hours. Check the door’s access schedule for availability.

No Access (Temporary): You have permission to access this door, but it is currently unavailable, for example due to maintenance.

If you've lost your key or need a new key, please contact your property manager, maintenance company, or local iLOQ retailer. iLOQ does not manage its customers' locking systems, so we cannot provide assistance with them through the support request form below.
