Reading lock information with the app

In addition to opening locks, you can also use the app for reading lock information such as the lock’s serial number, software version and programming state.  Note that lock information can only be read from iLOQ S50 locks.

To read lock information:

  1. Press the Lock info button (lock icon).
  2. Place your phone’s NFC antenna area close to the lock’s antenna knob. Hold the phone still until the app shows the lock information.
  3. Press X to exit from reading the lock information or scan another lock by repeating step 2.

Copy a lock serial number

You can quickly copy a lock’s serial number from the Lock info view and paste it into another application.

To copy a lock serial number:

  1. Press and hold the serial number on the phone screen.
  2. The serial number is copied to your phone’s clipboard.

You can then paste the serial number into another application for use in support cases, maintenance documentation, emails, messaging applications, or other tools.
