This section describes how to return a key from a person and empty it on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

2. Insert the key to be returned to the Programmer.

   The key inserted to the Programmer will be highlighted by a green background color in the iLOQ Manager key grid view.

3. Right-click the key and select Return and empty key.
   The Return of keys wizard is opened.
4. Select Return keys.
5. Select Next.
6. Select how to handle the returned key information.

   Select one, both, or none of the options below:

   • Retain returned keys in the system — Select this check box if you want to keep the key definition in the system. However, the key will be emptied.

     The key will remain in the In planningstate.

     Tip:

     This is convenient, for example, if the tenant of an apartment changes. You can program the returned key information to a new key that you can hand over to the new tenant.

   • Retain key connections to persons — Select this check box if you want to retain the key attachments to persons.

7. Select Next.
8. A summary screen is shown.
9. Select whether to print out a key return document.

   The options are:

   • Do not print — Select this radio button to skip the printing option.
   • Print return document to each key — Select this radio button to print out a return document to each returned key.
   • Print return document for keys by person — Select this radio button to print out a return document for keys by person.
10. Select Close.
11. If you selected an option to print out a return document, the return document is opened in a new tab.

This section describes how to manage key PIN-codes on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

2. Select the desired key.
3. Right-click to select Edit PIN-code.

   The Editing of key PIN-code wizard is opened.

4. Select Edit PIN-code.
5. The key selection window is opened.
6. Select Next.
7. The Editing of key PIN-code window is opened.

   Select the Requirement of key PIN-code with the radio buttons. The options are:

   • No access when PIN-code is required — The key does not have access during the lock PIN-code times.
   • Access without PIN-code — The key has access without the PIN-code during the lock PIN-code times.
   • Access with PIN-code — The key has access with the PIN-code during the lock PIN-code times. If you select this option, select also the Generating of PIN-code setting. The options are:
     • Keep current PIN-code for the key — All keys have an automatically generated PIN-code. Select this option if you do not want to change the PIN-code.
     • Generate new PIN-code for the key — Select this option if you want to change the PIN-code and let iLOQ Manager generate a new PIN-code.
     • Type new PIN-code for the key — Select this option if you want to manually change the PIN-code or view the current PIN-code. If you select this option, two new fields are shown:
       • Current code — This field contains the current PIN-code.
       • New code — Type in the new PIN-code for the key.
8. Select Next.
9. A summary screen is shown.
10. Select Ready.
11. Select Close.

You can hide a key that is no longer in use and cannot be returned. The key will disappear from the key grid view, from reports, and so on. The key can be, for example, a blacklisted, lost key.

This section describes how to hide keys on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

2. Select the keys you want to hide.
3. Select Edit > Editing mode to enable the editing mode.
4. Right-click one of the selected keys and select Hide key from list.
5. A confirmation screen is shown.
6. Select Yes.
7. Select Edit > Editing mode to disable the editing mode.
8. The system asks whether you want to save the changes. Select Yes.

This section describes how to view hidden keys on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

2. Right-click the grid view and select Show > Show only hidden.
3. To return to the original view, select Show > Show only hidden again.

This section describes how to unhide hidden keys on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

2. Right-click the grid view and select Show > Show only hidden.
3. Select the hidden key(s) that you want to unhide.
4. Select Edit > Editing mode to enable the editing mode.
5. Right-click one of the selected keys and select Show key.
6. Select Yes.
7. Select Edit > Editing mode to disable the editing mode.
8. The system asks whether you want to save the changes. Select Yes.
9. To return to the original view, select Show > Show only hidden again.

This section describes how to delete keys on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse keys.

   

2. Select the keys you want to delete.
3. Select Edit > Editing mode to enable the editing mode.
4. Right-click one of the selected keys and select Delete.
   Alternatively, you can press the Del key.
5. A confirmation screen is shown.
6. Select Yes.
7. Select Edit > Editing mode to disable the editing mode.
8. The system asks whether you want to save the changes. Select Yes.

Persons refer to the locking system administrative users and the holders of keys. To be more specific:

• Each iLOQ Manager user ID is also a person in the system.
• Each key holder (or a planned key holder) is a person in the system.

This section describes how to view person information on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse persons.

   

2. The persons are shown in the grid view.

   The columns are:

   • Last name — This column contains the last name of the person.
   • First name — This column contains the first name of the person.
   • Count of keys — This column indicates the number of keys the person has.
   • Company/Department — This column contains the name of the company or department where the person works at.
   • Title — This column contains the title of the person.
   • Identification — This column contains the company ID number of the person.
   • Contact information — This column contains the contact information of the person.
   • Email — This column contains the email address of the person.
   • Street address — This column contains the street address of the person.
   • Postal code — This column contains the postal code of the person.
   • Post office — This column contains the post office of the person.
   • Country — This column contains the country where the person lives in.
   • Telephone 1/2/3 — This column contains the telephone numbers of the person.
   • End date of an employment — This column contains the end date of the person's employment. This date is automatically set for the person's key, as its Expiration date.
   • ID of external system — This column contains the ID of an external system. This ID is used for Application Programming Interface (API) communications only.
   • Description — This column contains a description of the person.
   • Editable — The check box in this status column indicates whether the information of the person is editable by a user, or not. If this check box is checked, the information of the person is edited through the API only.
   • Roles — This column contains the roles of the person.

This section describes how to view the properties of individual persons in iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse persons.

   

2. The persons are shown in the grid view. For more information on an individual person, double-click the person to open person-specific details.
   Note:

   You can view object data in two ways:

   • Show sought-after situation — Select this radio button to view object data as it will be, when all pending changes have been programmed for the object.
   • Show the effective situation — Select this radio button to view object data as it currently is.

   Person-specific details are, by tabs:

   • Basic information — The Basic information tab contains the basic information on the selected person. The columns are described in Browsing Persons.
   • User ID — The User ID tab contains information on the person's user ID, if any.
   • Zones — The Zones tab contains information on the zones that the user has, if any.
   • Roles — The Roles tab contains information on the person's roles. See Person Roles.
   • Keys — The Keys tab contains information on the person's keys. The columns are described in Browsing Keys.
   • Access rights to locks — The Access rights to locks tab contains information on the person's access rights to locks.
   • Documents — The Documents tab contains key hand over and/or key returning documents, if digitally signed.
3. When done, press the Close button.
