This section describes how to modify the communication settings of a network module on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Administration > Browse network modules.

   

2. Select the desired network module.
3. Right-click to select Modify communication settings.

   You can make modifications as follows:

   • Programming requests are allowed from address - You can select whether the network module accepts requests.
   • Server is allowed to send task requests - Check this check box, if you have created a firewall rule to allow the server to immediately send tasks and requests to the network module.
   • Network module IP and port - In this area, you can define how the locking system obtains the network module IP address and port. The options are:
     • Data reported by network module are used - Select this radio button if the locking system obtains the network module IP address and port as reported by the network module itself.
     • IP reported by network module - Select this radio button if the locking system only obtains the network module IP address as reported by the network module itself. In this case, enter the port in the field that is shown when the radio button is selected.
     • Input IP and port - Select this radio button if you want to enter the IP address and port manually. In this case, enter the IP address and port in the fields that are shown when the radio button is selected.
4. Select Save and close.

This section describes how to delete network modules from iLOQ S10 Locking System.

1. Select Administration > Browse network modules.

   

2. Right-click the network module that you want to delete and select Delete network module.
   The Deleting a network module wizard is opened.
3. Select Delete network module.
4. A confirmation screen is shown.
5. Check that you have selected the correct network module.
6. Select Next.
7. A summary screen is shown.
8. Select Ready.
9. Insert the network module token to the the Programmer socket.
   Ensure that the token clicks to its place.
10. A summary screen is shown.
11. Insert the login token to the the Programmer socket.
    Ensure that the token clicks to its place.
12. Select Close.

This section describes how to fetch audit trails from networked locks on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Basic data > Browse locks.

   

2. Right-click the desired lock and select Send to lock > Audit trail pick request.
3. A confirmation screen is shown.
4. Select OK.

This section describes how to add control for the relays, on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Administration > Browse network modules.

   

2. Select the desired network module.
3. Right-click the selected network module and select Modify controls.
   A calendar view is opened.
4. Select the date for the control in the monthly calendar on the left-hand side of the screen.
5. Select the time for the control in the relay-specific column on the right-hand side of the screen. You can select the time by painting it with your mouse.
6. Right-click the painted area and select Add control.

   Add control information as follows:

   • Target — Select the relay that you want to control, in this drop-down menu. In other words, select either Control Relay 1 and Control Relay 2.

   • Description — Enter a description for the control, in this field.

   • Control begins — Enter a start time for the control, in this field.

   • Control ends — Enter an end time for the control, in this field.

   • Create control sequence — If you select this check box, you can create a repeated control sequence. Add control sequence information as follows:

     • Repeat control — Select how often the relay sequence will be repeated, in this drop-down menu. The options are:
       • Every week — If you select Every week, the control will be repeated every week on the defined time. Use the weekday check boxes to select the weekdays on which the control will be repeated. Define also the control sequence ending criteria.
       • Every month — If you select Every month, the control will be repeated once every month on the defined date and time. For example, if you have selected 10 May 06:00 as the First control starts value and 10 May 22:00 as the First control ends value, the control will be applied on every tenth day of the month, between 06:00 and 22:00.
       • Every year — If you select Every year, the control will be repeated once every year on the defined date and time. For example, if you have selected 10 May 06:00 as the First control starts value and 10 May 22:00 as the First control ends value, the control will be applied on every 10 May every year, between 06:00 and 22:00.

   • By default, the control sequence will run indefinitely. If you want to define an end date for the sequence, select the End date in the Control sequence ends drop-down list, and define the end date in the date field.

7. Select OK.
8. Select Save.
9. A confirmation screen is shown.
10. Select OK.
11. Depending on the communication settings, not on the license type, the sent requests are queued, or they will be immediately executed.

This section describes how to delete relay controls, on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Administration > Browse network modules.

   

2. Select the desired network module.
3. Right-click the selected network module and select Modify controls.
   A calendar view is opened.
4. Select the control that you want to delete, in the calendar view.
5. Right-click the control and select Remove control.

   If the selected time period is part of a control sequence, select one of the following:

   • Delete only selected control from control sequence — Only the selected period will be deleted.
   • Remove whole control sequence — The entire control sequence will be deleted.
6. Select Save.
7. A confirmation screen is shown.
8. Select OK.
9. Depending on the communication settings, not on the license type, the sent requests are queued, or they will be immediately executed.

This section describes how to use automatically renewed keys in iLOQ Manager.

1. Start adding a key as instructed in section Adding a New Key.
2. When you reach the step where you define time limitations, define the first ending time for the key with the Key is valid to setting.
3. Select the required renewal period by using the radio buttons in the Automatic renewal of end date field.
   The options are:

   • Not in use — If you select this radio button, the key end date is not automatically renewed.
   • Daily — If you select this radio button, the key end date can be automatically postponed on a daily basis. Use the Renewal period is repeated setting to define the key validity duration. For example, if you use value 3, the key end date is postponed for three days at a time.
   • Weekly — If you select this radio button, the key end date can be automatically postponed on a weekly basis. Use the Renewal period is repeated setting to define the key validity duration. For example, if you use value 1, the key end date is postponed for one week at a time.
4. Select the Renewal period begins time.

   With this setting, you define the time when, before the end time of the key elapses, the key can be updated to have the next validity period.

   For example, if:

   • The Key is valid to time is on Friday, 5 Jun 2015, at 18:00.
   • The Renewal period begins time is on Thursday, 4 Jun 2015, at 8:00.
   • You have defined that the Renewal period is repeated every 1 weeks.

   If you update the key on Thursday at 8:00 or after, the end date is postponed to the Friday on the next week. However, if you update the key on Wednesday, the end date is postponed to the Friday on the same week.

5. If you are creating a new key, program the key. If you are updating an existing key, order the key.

With this feature, you can centralize the system management on software, and distribute the physical programming of locks.

Example

An administrator makes changes, such as blacklisting lost keys or changing access rights, to offline locks on S10 Manager software. The administrator only orders the lock programming tasks. There is another person at the remote site, who will take care of the physical re-programming of locks, without using any software. The person:

The person only needs a Programmer equipped with a Token that is part of the system. However, the Token needs no access to the S10 Manager software.

This section describes how to prepare locks and Token for remote management through Hot Spot.

1. Prepare the Programmer for the remote site as follows:
   1. Add a Token without attaching it to a user. However, name it, for example, according to the remote site location.

      See Adding Tokens.

   2. Hand out a Programmer and the Token to be stored at the remote site.
2. Set the default remote station for the locks as follows:
   1. Select Administration > Browse network modules.

      

   2. Select the Net Bridge that you want to set as the default remote station for the locks.
   3. Right-click to select Set remote station for locks.
   4. The Editing of remote stations wizard is opened.
   5. Select Next.
   6. Select the locks that you want to assign under the Hot Spots connected to this Net Bridge.
      • — Click the Arrows right button to move all items to the selection list.
      • — Click the Arrow right button to move the selected item(s) to the selection list.
      • — Click the Arrow left button to remove the selected item(s) from the selection list.
      • — Click the Arrows left button to remove all items from the selection list.
   7. Follow the wizard to end the procedure.

This section describes what the administrator does when managing Programmer content remotely through Hot Spot.

1. Make the necessary changes, such as blacklisting lost keys or changing access rights, to offline locks on S10 Manager software.

2. Just order the lock programming tasks.
3. Inform the remote site on the pending programming tasks.

   You can send a task queue to the remote site personnel as follows:

   1. Select the Net Bridge of the remote site.

   2. Right-click to select Print > Task list for remote load station.

   3. Select Print from selected lines.

   4. A preview of the task queue is opened.

   5. Select PDF to save as PDF and send the list as email to the remote site.

   6. If necessary, you can also make a PDF file of the floor plan and send it as email to the remote site.

4. You can observe the work progress by monitoring the programming states of the locks.

   The states are:

   • Transferred for programming — The programming tasks have been transferred to the Programmer.
   • Programmed — The programming tasks have been done.
