This section describes how to install iLOQ Manager.

1. Carry out the first installation as follows:
   1. Login to Windows as administrator.
   2. For the first user, install the software from https://s10.iloq.com/iLOQS10Manager/setup.exe.
   3. Follow the wizard to install iLOQ Manager and the required software framework.
2. If necessary, install the software for the required windows accounts as follows:
   1. Login to the desired Windows account.
   2. Install the software from https://s10.iloq.com/iLOQS10Manager/iLoqManager.application.
   3. Double-click the installation package.
   4. Follow the wizard to install iLOQ Manager.

Before you install iLOQ Manager, contact the appropriate IT representative and ensure that the computer(s) meet the installation requirements below:

• The recommended operating system is Windows 10, or the latest Windows operating system.
• Local administrator user rights for the operating system, for installing the the Programmer device drivers.
• Internet connection.

Install the iLOQ Manager software as follows:

• The first installation installs the iLOQ Manager and the required software framework.

  Local administrator user rights are required for the first installation, if Microsoft .NET Framework 4 or newer is missing.

• Carry out the subsequent installations individually for the next users having individual Windows user accounts.

  Local administrator user rights are not required for the subsequent installations.

This section describes how to install iLOQ Programmer.

1. Insert two AA batteries into the the Programmer battery compartment.
2. After a short start-up sequence, the red Com led on the Programmer is illuminated. This color indicates that the Programmer clock is not running.

   The red color will turn to green once the device has established a connection with iLOQ Manager.

3. Connect the Programmer to the computer USB port.
4. The device drivers are downloaded from Windows Update, and installed automatically.
   Tip:

   If the driver installation does not start automatically, ensure that automatic search from Windows Update is allowed in your Windows settings.

   If the automatic driver installation does not succeed, you can also download and install the drivers manually. See Manually Installing the Drivers.

5. Open iLOQ Manager.
6. Select the COM port where the Programmer is installed.

   

7. The green Com led on the Programmer is illuminated. This color indicates that the computer and the Programmer are connected with each other.
   iLOQ Manager indicates the connection status as Programmer found.
8. The Programmer is now ready for use.

This section describes how to add new locking system service addresses to iLOQ Manager.

1. Open iLOQ Manager.

   The login screen is opened.

   

2. Click the Edit button.

   The login data screen is opened.

   

3. Enter locking system information as follows:
   • Service address — Enter the locking system database server address, in this field. Ensure that the service address is the same as in the Login data document provided with the locking system.
   • Service code — Enter the locking system-specific service code, in this field. Ensure that the service code is the same as in the Login data document provided with the locking system.
   • Customer name — Enter the name of the locking system, in this field.
4. Test the connection by clicking the Test server connection button.
5. If the server connection succeeds, select OK.
6. If the server connection fails, edit the proxy settings as follows:
   1. Uncheck the Use default connection settings (default) check box.

      Proxy settings are opened:

      

   2. Select Use same proxy settings as Internet Explorer.
   3. Test the connection by clicking the Test server connection button.
7. If the server connection succeeds, select OK.

This section describes how to login to iLOQ Locking System.

1. On Windows, select Start > All Programs > iLOQ > iLOQ Manager.

   The login screen is opened.

   

2. Select the desired user interface language from the Language menu.
3. Select the service to which you want to login, in the Service address drop down menu.
4. Wait until the token is found.
5. Insert the token attached to your user credentials, to the iLOQ Programmer socket.
   Ensure that the token clicks to its place.
6. Enter the user name in the User-ID field.
7. Enter your password in the Password field.
8. Ensure that iLOQ Programmer is plugged-in successfully.
   Select Search from the drop down menu, if iLOQ Manager has not found it.
9. Select Log in.

This section describes how to select the user interface language on iLOQ Manager.

1. If iLOQ Manager is running under an incorrect language, close the program.
2. On Windows, select Start > All Programs > iLOQ > iLOQ Manager.
3. The default login screen is opened.

   

4. Click the flag icon to open the language selection drop-down list.

   

5. Select the desired language in the drop-down list.

   The login screen in the selected language is opened.

   

This section describes how to log out of iLOQ Locking System.

1. Select Log out.

   

2. The login screen is opened in case you want to login again.

iLOQ Locking System has three types of passwords:

• The master password.

  You must define a master password for the locking system. You only need the master password when you add tokens or format locks.You only need the master password when you add Programming Tokens. You will not need the master password at any other time.

  Write down the master password in the Login Information document found in the iLOQ documentation folder that you will give to the customer in conjunction with the delivery. Also, write down the master password in your own documentation.

  The master password:

  • Must contain exactly 16 characters.
  • Is case-sensitive.
  • Is the property of the end customer.
• Note:

  You cannot change the master password afterwards.

• The user password.

  You must define a user password for each locking system user.

  The user password:

  • Must contain at least 6 characters.
  • Is case-sensitive.

• The network module user password.

  You must define a user password for at least one network module. Other network modules can share this password.

  The network module user password:

  • Must contain at least 6 characters.
  • Is case-sensitive.

A shortcut menu is displayed when you right-click over any of the work areas. Using this shortcut menu, you can access most of the lock maintenance tasks. In addition to the task-specific commands, the menu has the following standard commands:

• Place columns — Displays a window where you can define your own view by selecting the columns you want to be displayed on the table area, and saving the view as your own view.
• Additional information — Displays the Properties window, in which you can view information on the selected item (lock, key, user, and so on).
• Add — Opens a wizard for adding a new item (lock, key, user, etc.) into the system.
• Select All (CTRL+A) — Selects all the rows in a grid.
• Show — Select Show > Show only selected ones to only display the selected rows on the grid. If you select the Show only hidden check box, you can view hidden items.
• Export — Select Export to export the information displayed on the grid, either to the printer or to Excel.

This section lists keyboard shortcuts that you can use with iLOQ Manager. Some keyboard shortcuts require pressing and holding several keys simultaneously. Others are mouse click and keyboard key combinations.
