This section describes what the person at the remote site does when re-programming locks.

1. Find the Programmer and ensure that the Token is in place.
2. Switch on the Programmer.
3. Insert the programming cable into the Programming Hot Spot.
4. The USB light blinks during data communication.
5. The communication ends when the STATUS light is illuminated constant orange, indicating that the Programmer has tasks.
6. Remove the cable from the Programming Hot Spot.
7. Switch on the Programmer.
8. Re-program the defined locks by inserting the programming cable into the locks, and wait until you see the green STATUS light.
9. Insert the programming cable into the Programming Hot Spot.
10. The USB light blinks during data communication.
11. The communication ends when the STATUS light is illuminated constant green, indicating that the Programmer has no tasks.

    If the STATUS light is:

    • Orange — There are still programming tasks in the Programmer, that is, there are one or more programming tasks waiting to be done.
    • Red — There is an error. Retry by inserting the programming cable into the Programming Hot Spot.
    • Green — The Programmer has no tasks.
12. Remove the cable.

This section describes what the administrator does when remotely managing key access rights through a Programming Hot Spot.

1. Make the necessary changes, such as changing access rights or time limitations, to a key on S10 Manager software.

   See Common Administration Tasks.

2. Just order the key programming task.

   If you want to postpone the change availability, select Order and postpone programming on Hot Spot, and set the date and time for the start of availability.

   Postponing the change availability requires that the Postponed Hot spot key update in use setting is in use.

3. Inform the key owner to visit a Key Programming Hot Spot and update the key by inserting the key.
4. You can observe the work progress by monitoring the programming state of the key.

   The states are:

   • Ordered — The programming task is pending.
   • Programmed — The key has been updated.

This section describes what the key owner at the remote site does when re-programming a key.

1. Insert the key into the Hot Spot.
2. The key symbol on the Hot Spot illuminates orange.
3. The key symbol on the Hot Spot turns green.

   If the key symbol on the Hot Spot:

   • Turns red, the update has failed. Try again.
   • Turns off, there is no update task for the key on the server.
4. Remove the key from the Hot Spot.

Users are persons who have the rights to use iLOQ Manager.

Different users may have different usage rights in the system. You can, for example, distribute system administration by allowing one user to order, that is, approve, programming changes to locks and keys. Another user, for its part, can carry out previously ordered programming tasks, but cannot modify the content of these programming tasks.

A person using a key is not necessarily a user in the system. Key users are called persons in the system.

This section describes how to browse users on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Administration > Browse users.

   

2. The users are shown in the grid view.

   The columns are:

   • User ID — This column contains the user ID of the user.
   • Last name — This column contains the last name of the user.
   • First name — This column contains the first name of the user.
   • Company/Department — This column contains the name of the company or department where the user works at.
   • Title — This column contains the title of the user.
   • Contact information — This column contains the contact information of the user.
   • Email — This column contains the email address of the user.
   • Street address — This column contains the street address of the user.
   • Postal code — This column contains the postal code of the user.
   • Post office — This column contains the post office of the user.
   • Country — This column contains the country where the person lives in.
   • Telephone 1/2/3 — This column contains the telephone numbers of the person.
   • Description — This column contains a description of the person.
   • Editable — The check box in this status column indicates whether the information of the person is editable on not.

This section describes how to view the properties of users on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Administration > Browse users.

   

2. The users are shown in the grid view. For more information on an individual user, double-click the user.

   User-specific details are, by tabs:

   • Basic information — The Basic information tab contains the basic information on the selected user. The columns are described in section Browsing Persons.
   • User ID — The User ID tab contains information on the user as follows:
     • Usage right — This column lists the usage rights that the user ID has.
     • Source — This column contains the user ID and token combinations the user has. The user does not necessarily have any tokens, in which case the user ID only is listed in this column.
   • Zones — The Zones tab contains information on the zones that the user has, if any.
   • Roles — The Roles tab contains information on the person's roles. See Person Roles.
   • Keys — The Keys tab contains information on the person's keys. The columns are described in section Browsing Keys.
   • Access rights to locks — The Access rights to locks tab contains information on the person's access rights to locks.
3. When done, press the Close button.

There are two ways to add users on iLOQ Manager:

• Add a user ID with a token. In this case, the user must login to the system with a token. Only with a token, the user can have full access rights to the system. This is the recommended method to add users. This results in a higher security level.
• Add a user ID. In this case, the user can login to the system without a token, and carry out, for example, planning tasks. However, the user cannot order or program tasks.

This section describes how to add a user ID with a token to iLOQ Locking System.

1. Select Administration > Browse users.

   

2. Select Add user.
   The Adding a user ID wizard is opened.
3. Select Add user ID with a token.
4. Select one of the options below:
   • Add a user ID for a person — Select Add a user ID for a person if you want to add a user ID for an existing person in the system.
   • Add a new person with a user ID — Select Add a new person with a user ID if you want to add a user ID for a new person that will be created along the user ID addition procedure.
5. Depending on the choice you made in the previous step, proceed as follows:
   • Select the person for whom you want to add the user ID, if you selected Add a user ID for a person in the previous step.
   • Enter the first and last name of the new person, if you selected Add a new person with a user ID in the previous step.
6. Select Next.
7. Select a token for the user in the Token drop-down menu.
8. Select Next.
9. Enter information for the user ID, as follows:
   • User-ID — Enter a name for the new user ID in this field. The user ID is not case-sensitive. There are no minimum requirements for the user ID.
   • Password — Enter a password for the new user ID in this field. The password is case-sensitive. The password must be at least six characters long.
   • Retype password — Retype the password in this field.
10. Select Next.
11. Select the User rights template, or the individual usage rights to be added for the user.
    •  — Click the Arrows right button to move all items to the selection list.
    • — Click the Arrow right button to move the selected item(s) to the selection list.
    • — Click the Arrow left button to remove the selected item(s) from the selection list.
    • — Click the Arrows left button to remove all items from the selection list.
12. Select Next.
13. A summary screen is shown.
14. Select Ready.
15. Select Close.

This section describes how to add a user ID to iLOQ Locking System.

1. Select Administration > Browse users.

   

2. Select Add user.
   The Adding a user ID wizard is opened.
3. Select Add user ID.
4. Select one of the options below:
   • Add a user ID for a person — Select Add a user ID for a person if you want to add a user ID for an existing person in the system.
   • Add a new person with a user ID — Select Add a new person with a user ID if you want to add a user ID for a person that will be created along the user ID addition procedure.
5. Depending on the choice you made in the previous step, proceed as follows:
   • Select the person for whom you want to add the user ID, if you selected Add a user ID for a person in the previous step.
   • Enter the first and last name of the new person, if you selected Add a new person with a user ID in the previous step.
6. Select Next.
7. Enter information for the user ID, as follows:
   • User-ID — Enter a name for the new user ID in this field. The user ID is not case-sensitive. There are no minimum requirements for the user ID.
   • Password — Enter a password for the new user ID in this field. The password is case-sensitive. The password must be at least six characters long.
   • Retype password — Retype the password in this field.
8. Select Next.
9. Select the User rights template, or the individual usage rights to be added for the user.
   • — Click the Arrows right button to move all items to the selection list.
   • — Click the Arrow right button to move the selected item(s) to the selection list.
   • — Click the Arrow left button to remove the selected item(s) from the selection list.
   • — Click the Arrows left button to remove all items from the selection list.
10. Select Next.
11. A summary screen is shown.
12. Select Ready.
13. Select Close.

This section describes how to edit a user's usage rights on iLOQ Manager.

1. Select Administration > Browse users.

2. Select the user.
3. Right-click the selected row and select Edit usage rights.
   The Editing of usage rights wizard is opened.
4. Select Edit usage rights.
5. Select the desired token.

   If you do not select a token, you will edit the user's usage right when the user logs in without a token. However, if you select the token, you will edit the user's usage right when the user logs in with the selected token.

6. Select Next.
7. Edit the usage rights for the user.
   1. Select the User rights template, or the individual usage rights to be added for the user.

   2. You can manage the selection of individual usage rights with the arrow buttons as follows:
      • — Click the Arrows right button to move all items to the selection list.
      • — Click the Arrow right button to move the selected item(s) to the selection list.
      •  — Click the Arrow left button to remove the selected item(s) from the selection list.
      •  — Click the Arrows left button to remove all items from the selection list.
8. Select Next.
9. A confirmation screen is shown.
10. Select Ready.
11. Select Close.
