Moving Objects to Zones

This section describes how to move objects, such as locks, keys, persons and access rights, to zones in iLOQ 5 Series Manager.

Note:

It is recommended to design the zone structure already at the deployment stage. This way, objects can be programmed directly into the appropriate zones.

If you enable zones retroactively and want to divide your already programmed keys and locks among different zones, the keys and locks need to be reprogrammed for the new zone selections to take effect.

This example covers locks, but the same principle applies to other objects, as well.

Proceed as follows.

  1. Open the page that contains the objects you want to move to zones, such as, Additional data > Browse locks.
  2. Choose the objects to move.
  3. Right click the objects and choose Change zone of the <object>.
    The Change zone of the <object> wizard opens.
  4. Click Edit zone selections.
  5. Choose the objects to move, if needed.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Choose the zone to which you want to move the objects.
  8. Click Next.
  9. A summary window is displayed.
  10. Click Ready.
  11. Click Close.
