- Reduce the speed slightly and try again (this does not mean that the speed of the push should be a snail's pace). If you insert the key too fast, the lock won't have time to read the access rights from your key.
- If the lock does not seem to work even with a gentle pushing motion, servicing the lock may be the solution. Even though the lock is digital, it can and should be oiled.
- A drop of lock oil in the keyway will often help, eliminating clutter and allowing a smoother key insertion movement.
- Make sure the key, especially the underside, is clean so the lock can read it properly. A wipe with a soft cloth should do the trick
- If the key still doesn't work, contact the manager of your building to check that you still have access rights and get a new key if the old one is damaged
