Managing big system in different time zones

The administrator of the system has to understand, that the time limitations work according to the time zone defined in the locking system settings. If the administrator (User) defines time limitations in a different time zone, they have to take the time difference into account.

 

Example – Global demo

Locking system time zone set on a Swedish computer: UTC +1

User located in Finland: UTC +2

Key end date is set to “today” at 13:00


Looking the limitation from a pc located in Finland: End date is “today at 13:00", BUT the audit trail shows Key access at 13:03, 13:15,…

Looking the limitation from a pc located in Sweden: End date is “today at 13:00", BUT the audit trail shows Key access at 12:03, 12:15,…

 

As a further remark, be careful to edit the time zone of a big system, date in every lock has to be updated after that.
