Duplicate programming key
If backup programming keys need to be made, an existing programming key can be duplicated. When duplicating a programming key, the new programming key will have the same administrators and function identically to the key being duplicated.
Select Programming keys > Manage programming keys.
Step 1/3: Programming key
- Select
next to the programming key you want to duplicate.
- Select Duplicate from the context menu.
- Edit programming key information such as name and administrators, if needed.
- Select Next.
Step 2/3: Change summary
- The summary shows the actions that you decided to perform in the previous steps. Review the change summary and select Confirm.
Step 3/3: Feedback
- Connect the programming key you are duplicating to your PC.
- Place an empty programming key on the programming key connected to your PC.
- In this final step, the actions you confirmed in the previous step will be performed. You can follow the actions and their progress on the screen. Select Show change summary to view an overview of the performed actions.
- When you’re done select Close.
