Programming keys

To deploy and manage a customer system you will need to create a customer system-specific programming key. A programming key is necessary for performing specific tasks within the customer system, such as:

  • Initial programming of locks and key fobs.
  • Clearing locks and key fobs.
  • Changing audit trail collection settings of locks.
  • Adding additional programming keys.

A programming key can be attached to several administrators, and one administrator can have several programming keys.

Note: We recommend having a minimum of three programming keys in each customer system. This ensures there are enough programming keys in case of damage or loss. Programming keys should be always stored safely and securely.

If you've lost your key or need a new key, please contact your property manager, maintenance company, or local iLOQ retailer. iLOQ does not manage its customers' locking systems, so we cannot provide assistance with them through the support request form below.
