Add user to private premises
When a user is added to private premises, they can share access to their premises with others via the key sharing feature in the iLOQ App. A typical example of private premises is an apartment in a residential building. When a person moves in to the apartment an administrator assigns them to the private premises.
Step 1/5: Basic information
- Enter the basic information of the user. First name, last name and email address are required.
- Select Show additional options to view more text fields.
- Select Next.
Step 2/5: Private premises
- Select one or more private premises for the user.
- Select a validity period, if needed. If not set, the validity period starts immediately.
- Select Next.
Step 3/5: Keys
- Select a key type for the user. Select Phone key, Key fob or K5 key.
- Phone key: Select Show phone key details to view the private premises and roles linked to the key. These determine where the key has access. The sources the user has based on private premises or user roles are added as default. Note: Phone key must be selected for the user to be able to share access to their private premises via the iLOQ App.
- Key fob: Sources on key show where the key fob has access. The sources the user has based on private premises or user roles are added as default.
- K5 key: Sources on key show where the key has access. The sources the user has based on private premises or user roles are added as default. Note: In iLOQ 5 Series+, K5 keys can only be used with hybrid locks, which are not yet commercially available.
- If you selected Key fob or K5 key, select an action to perform on the key fob/K5 key:
- Save as draft: The key fob/K5 key is saved as a draft, and is not programmed.
- Program key fob/Program key: The key fob/K5 key is programmed now. Note: To program key fobs or K5 keys you need a programming key.
Note: When assigning a key fob/K5 key that has locks that belong to multiple key blocking groups to a user, you must manually select which key blocking group the key fob/K5 key is assigned to.
- Select Next.
Step 4/5: Summary
- The summary shows the actions that you decided to perform in the previous steps. Review the summary and select Confirm.
Note: Check the Send sign-up invitation box to send a message with instructions on how to create an iLOQ ID and other important information to the user’s email address.
Step 5/5: Feedback
- In this final step, the actions you confirmed in the previous step will be performed. You can follow the actions and their progress on the screen.
- Select Show summary to view an overview of the performed actions.
- When you’re done select Close.
