Download and install programming key driver

Typically, the programming key driver is automatically installed when the programming key is connected to the PC. If this is not the case, follow the instructions below:

  1. Connect the programming key to the computer USB port.
  2. Download the CP210x Universal Windows Driver from https://www.silabs.com/developers/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers?tab=downloads
  3. Save and extract the .zip package to your computer.
  4. Open the Windows Device manager.
  5. Select Other devices>CP2102N USB to UART Bridge Controller.
  6. Right-click to select Update driver.
  7. Select Search the driver from the computer.
  8. Click Browse my computer for driver software and the select the folder containing the driver that you downloaded and extracted.
  9. Click Next. Wait until Windows installs the driver.
  10. Click Close.
  11. Return to Windows Device manager and check that Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge is listed in the Ports>(COM & LPT) menu.
  12. The driver is now installed and you can use Programming key on your computer.
