This section describes how to add common area locks directly onto the floorplan.
It is recommended to add common area locks directly onto the floorplan, as the apartment locks do not necessary have to be on the floorplan, since their location is obvious in an apartment building. Also, there are not that many common area locks, so the task is not as time-consuming as with apartment locks. This is why apartment locks are automatically generated.
Proceed as follows.
Select Add common area locks.
The screen below is opened:

Select from the options below:
To add new locks, select Add new.

To add copies of existing locks, select Make a copy.

To add a lock:
To add a new lock, click the desired position on the floorplan.
The Adding a lock wizard is opened. Complete the wizard to add the lock.
To add a copy of a lock, select the lock from the Added locks list, or select it from the floorplan. Then click the desired position on the door plan to create a copy of the selected lock.
The Adding a lock wizard is opened with pre-filled information from the source lock. Complete the wizard to add the lock.
The added locks are listed in the Added locks list.
