K55S.2 key fob firmware update

To ensure compatibility, the K55S.2 key fob firmware must be kept up to date. When a K55S.2 key fob is placed against a P55S programming key connected to a PC, iLOQ Manager+ automatically checks whether a newer firmware version is available. If a newer firmware version is available, it is automatically downloaded and installed. Existing settings and accesses remain on the key fob during the firmware update process. Note that an internet connection is required for the firmware check and update.

Automatic firmware update

  1. Place a K55S.2 key fob against a P55S programming key connected to your PC while logged in to iLOQ Manager+.
  2. iLOQ Manager+ checks whether a newer firmware version is available.
  3. If an update is available, it is downloaded and installed automatically.
  4. After the installation is complete, iLOQ Manager+ verifies that the update was successful.

No separate update tool or manual download is required.

Notes

  • Firmware checks are performed automatically when a K55S.2 key fob is placed against a P55S programming key connected to your PC while you are logged in to iLOQ Manager+.
  • Firmware updates are only performed to key fobs that belong to your customer system or are in factory state.
  • Existing settings and accesses remain on the key fob during the firmware update process.
  • Keeping the firmware up to date ensures access to the latest fixes, improvements, and security updates.
