Online device diagnostics logs

Administrators can remotely enable diagnostics log collection on supported online devices to help investigate issues without visiting the site. When diagnostics log collection is turned on, the device sends diagnostics data to iLOQ for analysis and troubleshooting. After being enabled, diagnostics logs are collected for 24 hours.

Important usage considerations

  • This feature should only be enabled at the request of iLOQ Support.
  • Diagnostic data is handled only by iLOQ and used strictly to support issue resolution.
  • Diagnostics logging works only with specific software versions of supported online devices.

Supported devices

  • N500 network modules
  • N501 online modules

Start diagnostics log collection

  1. Select Locking devices in main menu.
  2. Right-click the network module/online module you want to start the log collection for.
  3. Select Request > Diagnostics logs.
  4. Select Send request.

The diagnostics log collection request is then sent to the network module/online module. Log collection will start when the module has received the request. Note that it might take some time for the network module to complete the request.

The request is completed when the request time stamp no longer appears in the context menu, after which the Diagnostics logs tag appears when the Online devices list is refreshed. Logging stops automatically after 24 hours or when manually aborted.

Abort diagnostics log collection

If you need to stop diagnostics log collection before the 24‑hour period ends, you can manually abort it at any time by following these steps:

  1. Select Locking devices in main menu.
  2. Right-click the network module/online module you want to abort the log collection for.
  3. Select Request > Abort diagnostics logs.
  4. Select Send request.

The request to abort the diagnostics log collection is then sent to the network module/online module. Log collection will be stopped when the module has received the request. Note that it might take some time for the network module to complete the request.
