P55S programming key firmware update

To ensure compatibility, the P55S programming key firmware must be kept up to date. When a P55S programming key is connected to a PC, iLOQ Manager+ automatically checks whether a newer firmware version is available. If a newer firmware version is available, it is automatically downloaded and installed. Note that an internet connection is required for the firmware check and update.

Automatic firmware update

  1. Connect the P55S programming key to your PC while logged in to iLOQ Manager+.
  2. iLOQ Manager+ checks whether a newer firmware version is available.
  3. If an update is available, it is downloaded and installed automatically.
  4. After the installation is complete, iLOQ Manager+ verifies that the update was successful.

No separate update tool or manual download is required.

Notes

  • Firmware checks are performed automatically when a programming key is connected to your PC while you are logged in to iLOQ Manager+.
  • Firmware updates are only performed to programming keys that belong to your customer system or are in factory state.
  • Firmware checks can also be performed while completing tasks in wizards or dialogs in iLOQ Manager+.
  • If the programming key contains pending programming tasks, the tasks remain on the programming key during the firmware update process.
  • Keeping the firmware up to date ensures access to the latest fixes, improvements, and security updates.
