Manage devices

Manage the locking devices of your customer system, including S50 locks, network modules or online modules. Add new devices or edit existing ones, for example.

Select Locking devices > Manage devices

Step 1/3: Devices

  1. Select the premises where you want to manage devices or select the Show all devices option to view all devices on a list.
    • If you want add a new device, select and enter the required information.
    • If you want to edit the information of an exiting device, select the device from the list.
    • The following information fields are available:
      • Placement code (optional): Refers to the location of the device. Use descriptive and unique names. For example, codes marked on floorplans can be used here.
      • Name: Give the device a descriptive name.
      • Premises: The premises where the device is located.
      • Key blocking group (Not visible if key blocking groups have not been defined): Select a key blocking group for the device. For more information about key blocking groups, see Key blocking groups.
      • Time zone: Select the time zone for the device. Time zone information comes from the premises the device is located in. Note: If the time zone of the device is changed, the time zone of the premises will also be changed automatically.
      • Type: Select the device type.
      • Product code: Select the product code of the device. Make sure to select the correct code. The code is marked on the device.
      • Relay lock settings (available only for N501, N501.1 and N502 online modules):
        • Unlock duration: How long the relay lock stays open when unlocked. This is set to 3 seconds currently and cannot be changed.
        • Can be remotely unlocked: This box must be checked to enable remote unlocking.
      • Features: After selecting the device type, the features available for that device type are displayed. Check the box to enable the feature.
        • Collects audit trails: A chronological list of events for each lock, including date and time stamps for each event. This box must be checked to enable audit trail collection.
      • Serial number (N500, N501, N501.1 and N502 only): Enter the serial number of the device.
      • Software update time (N500 and N501 only): The specific time when software updates are scheduled to occur.
      • Linked network module (N502 only): Select the network module the N502 is linked to.
    • Select Show additional fields to view more settings.
      • Cylinder extension (S50 locks only): Add information if a cylinder extension is used.
      • Network settings (N500 only): We recommend using the default network and server certification settings.
        • Do not use DCHP
        • Do not obtain DNS server address automatically
      • Server certification settings
        • Public key pinning and domain name verification (recommended).Note: Enter the public key only if necessary, for example due to custom proxy settings.
        • Public key pinning
        • Domain name verification
        • No server verification (not recommended)
  2. Add the required number of new devices or make the required edits to existing ones.
  3. Select to go back to premises structure view.
  4. Select Next.

Step 2/3: Summary

  1. The summary shows the actions that you decided to perform in the previous steps. Review the summary and select Confirm.

Step 3/3: Feedback

  1. In this final step, the actions you confirmed in the previous step will be performed. You can follow the actions and their progress on the screen.
  2. Select Show summary to view an overview of the performed actions.
  3. When you’re done select Close.

Note: After adding new devices or editing existing ones the devices must be programmed for the changes to take effect. Devices can be programmed via Locking devices > Program devices.
